School of Arts & Sciences

Message from the Dean

Welcome to Caldwell University’s School of Arts and Sciences!

Our majors are in the arts, humanities, education, and the natural and social sciences.  Many of our programs offer opportunities to double major or to minor in disciplines across the university.

Teaching our students is the top priority of our dedicated faculty, who will guide you in your journey with us and will help you to achieve your academic and professional goals.

We are dedicated to fostering your intellectual growth, creativity, and personal development. Through a wide range of courses, you will deepen your understanding of the human experience, develop strong critical thinking skills, and cultivate a global perspective.

We have developed relationships with several internship sites and graduate schools.  Our alumni succeed in a wide range of careers, including the arts, teaching, the helping and health professions, law, and research.

I hope you join us in the School of Arts and Sciences and explore the world with us!

William Araneta Velhagen, Jr., Ph.D.
