Professor Rebecca Vega and the Caldwell University Flute Ensemble will present at the New Jersey Music Educators Association conference on Friday February 21

“Professor Rebecca Vega and the Caldwell University Flute Ensemble will present “Too many flutists? Start a flute ensemble!” at the New Jersey Music Educators Association conference on Friday February 21 at 3:00 PM in Atlantic City. The CU Flute Ensemble and I will provide examples of original works that would be appropriate for middle school and high school flute choirs. The CU Flute Ensemble will play portions of these works. Participants who bring a flute to the presentation will be able to play a couple of these works with our ensemble. Many of the session pieces are composed by female flutists, including Valerie Coleman, Julie Stone, Nicole Chamberlain, Phyllis Avdan Louke, Kelly Droulliard, and Kate Agio.”
