Information for Graduates
Congratulations Graduates! The countdown has officially begun….. There will be a lot of information to share with you as we get closer to May, but for now, here’s what you need to know.
There will be 1 graduate ceremony (for Master’s and Doctoral degree candidates) in the Newman Center the afternoon of Saturday, May 17, 2025. Exact time will be announced shortly.
There will be 2 undergraduate ceremonies in the Newman Center on Sunday, May 18, 2025, one at 10am and one at 3pm. Graduates will be split evenly between the two ceremonies and you will receive your ceremony assignments later this spring once all applications for graduation have been processed.
To that end, please complete your application for graduation as soon as possible! If you need assistance or have any questions, please contact the university registrar’s office, located in the Cougar One Stop in Aquinas Hall.

Information for Guests
We look forward to welcoming you to campus the weekend of May 17-18, 2025 for the 83rd Commencement at Caldwell University! Graduate degree recipients will celebrate the afternoon of May 17th (Time TBD) and undergraduate degree recipients will be split into two ceremonies on Sunday, May 18th (10am and 3pm).
Your graduate will have specific ticket information later this spring. Once the ticketing process has been confirmed, this page will be updated.
Your experience on our campus in May is important to us – check this page often as we make updates that will help you prepare for your celebration!
Information for Faculty & Staff
Please hold the afternoon of Saturday, May 17, 2025 for the graduate ceremony (time TBD) and 10am and 3pm on Sunday, May 18, 2025 for each of the undergraduate ceremonies. The splits will be finalized once all applications for graduation are received and processed.
Regalia orders will be processed through Oak Hall and the office of the VPAA will facilitate the process once the rental portal opens.
The Deans will disseminate updated information as soon as it becomes available.
Staff volunteers are needed to help ensure a smooth celebration for our graduates and their families. Please contact Erica Wyrovsky in the President’s Office to be added to the volunteer list.
Nursing Pinning
Congratulations, Caldwell Nurses! Please save the date of Friday, May 16, 2025 from 2-5 pm for your formal Pinning Ceremony. The event will take place in the Newman Center, allowing for plenty of seating for your guests. More information to follow…
Commencement FAQ’s
Q: How many guest tickets does each graduate receive?
A: As soon as all eligible students have completed their applications for graduation, we will be able to determine the number of tickets each student will receive.
Q: How long is each ceremony?
A: Doors will open 90 minutes prior to each ceremony, and ceremonies typically run about one hour in length. We try to be efficient!
Q: Will there be overflow seating for the undergraduate ceremonies?
A: Yes! While we have a limited number of seats in the Newman Center, additional guests can watch a live stream across the plaza in the Student Center Auditorium. Guests can also watch the live stream on our FaceBook page. The link will be posted to this page the week of the event.
Q: Will there be professional photographers at each ceremony?
A: Yes! We work with the pros at Island Photography who will be snapping shots of each graduate as they cross the stage. We also have other professional photographers roaming all weekend capturing candids that are available for download after the events are compete.
