Caldwell, N.J., Sept. 17, 2021 – Caldwell University today announced that students can now access the Bloomberg Finance Lab, featuring Bloomberg Terminals, the same software and technology used globally by leading business and financial professionals.
The Bloomberg Terminal’s software provides real-time and historical data, market moving news and analytics to help leading business and financial professionals and government officials worldwide make better informed business and investment decisions. The service also features execution platforms for every asset class, research, and a global network to communicate securely and reliably.
The University’s subscriptions to the Bloomberg Terminal will serve as a resource for both students and professors. It will enable students to become familiar with tools used in financial services, reinforcing classroom theory, while professors can use it to further their own research.
“The University’s School of Business and Computer Science is very pleased to offer our students this fantastic platform and the exciting opportunity to become proficient in it,” said Virginia Rich, J.D., associate dean of the School. “By becoming certified as through the Bloomberg Market Concepts (BMC) program, students demonstrate to employers that they have acquired the economic and financial proficiency that is demanded in today’s high-tech and data-oriented workplace.” Rich says they will encourage each student in the department to earn the certification.
BMC is a self-paced e-learning course on currencies, economic indicators, equities and fixed income. Students who complete it receive a certification for their resume.
