Learning Differences Program–SOAR
SOAR – Student Outreach and Academic Resources
Caldwell University is delighted to offer students who experience language-based and/or neurological learning differences an individualized academic support program designed to meet their unique needs. We understand the challenges students face as they progress through their academic career, and we are committed to helping them develop independent college-level skills and strategies that foster success in school and prepare them for a rewarding career.
Toward this end, the SOAR program provides specialized one-on-one services in academic skills including time management, organization, active reading and listening, note taking, and studying. Likewise, step-by-step guidance through the writing process and math tutoring are readily available to program participants. Additionally, social skills that champion student success including self advocacy, assertive communication, emotion regulation and career readiness are promoted and practiced. Each of these supports are detailed under the Services tab.
