President Blattner is Guest on the Catholic Channel on Sirius XM Satellite Radio

Dr. Nancy Blattner, president of Caldwell University, was a guest on The Busted Halo Show with Father Dave Dwyer on the Catholic Channel on Sirius XM Satellite Radio channel 129 on Dec.16.  She was interviewed by Father Dave as part of the program’s ongoing series, “Real World Catholic Leaders,” which profiles lay Catholics who have made a significant impact on their community or profession while proudly living their Catholic faith.

President Blattner shared the blessings she and the Caldwell University students received while serving the poor in Belize last May. She described how service is an integral part of the Catholic Dominican college’s fabric and the opportunities for volunteerism on campus including Caldwell Day, an annual day of giving back to the community.

Dr. Blattner talked about how she and a group of students had a moving experience on a study trip to Rome last spring where they were able to attend Mass said by Pope Francis in St. Peter’s Square on Palm Sunday. She spoke about Pope Francis’ apostolic exhortation Evangelii Gaudium (The Joy of the Gospel) and how his call to community and mission can inspire all of us to make a difference in the world.
