Bishop da Cunha to Speak at Caldwell University Founder’s Day Celebration March 26
Caldwell University will celebrate Founder’s Day on Wed. March 26 to remember Mother Joseph Dunn, O.P., who began Caldwell University in 1939 and served as its first president of the board of trustees.
The Founder’s Day Mass will be celebrated by Chaplain Father Al Berner in the Student Center gym at noon.
After Mass, administration, faculty and staff who have served the college for 5, 10, 15, 20, 30 and 35 years will receive an anniversary service award. Spring athletes and tutors will receive a special blessing. Employees are invited to wear red, one of the college’s colors. A complimentary luncheon will be held afterwards with a sparkling cider toast and cake cutting to mark the college’s recent achievement of university status.
