What is Psi Chi?
Psi Chi is an international honor society in psychology.
- Mission Statement: Recognizing and promoting excellence in the science and application of psychology.
- Purpose Statement: Psi Chi is an international honor society whose purpose shall be to encourage, stimulate, and maintain excellence in scholarship of the individual members in all fields, particularly in psychology, and to advance the science of psychology.
What are the benefits of joining?
All Psi Chi memberships are for life. A one-time joining fee is all you will ever have to pay to become a lifetime member.
Benefits include:
- International recognition for academic excellence in psychology
- Opportunities to apply for annual awards, grants, and/or scholarships
- Access to career resources and job boards for psychology-related careers
- Networking opportunities
- Professional development opportunities (e.g., publication in Psi Chi journals, presentations at regional and national conventions)
How do I join?
To join the Caldwell University chapter of Psi Chi, you must be a Caldwell University psychology major or minor who has completed 45 credits (including 9 psychology credits) with at least a 3.5 career GPA and at least a 3.0 GPA in psychology courses.
Email invites from Dr. Tsoi (the faculty advisor) will be sent out to all eligible students by mid-October / early November. If you think you are eligible but did not receive an email, please reach out to Dr. Tsoi.
Induction takes place every semester, but our society induction ceremony takes place in the spring.
