ARTIST STATEMENT

Creating these works of art was a task of care and passion. They address universal themes relating to my journey as a person, a woman, and a human being. This show combines my passion for art, my journey and education within the field of psychology, with my love for the art of Ancient Greece and Pop Art. I want to highlight the human experience – the beauty, the pain, the pressures, and joys of it.

I was influenced by other artists that use the human figure in order to communicate on a poetic level, such as multimedia artist Alice “Ali” Waller, and painter Frida Khalo.
