Linda Luciano
Associate Vice President, Planning and Chief of Staff to the President, Berkeley College
Linda Luciano was appointed Associate Vice President, Planning and Chief of Staff to the President of Berkeley College in July 2009. In this role she is a member of the President’s cabinet, assists in advancing the goals of the President; oversees special events; and, is the Chief Planner of the College providing oversight of the Strategic Plan. Prior to her current role, Ms. Luciano served as Director of Planning and Assessment and Chief of Staff to the President.
Prior to joining Berkeley College, Ms. Luciano was employed by the Newark Alliance as the WIRED (Workforce Innovation in Regional Economic Development) Project Coordinator. In this role, she directed the activities of a $5.1 million federal grant encompassing 22 projects throughout eight northern New Jersey counties. She worked with the members of the New Jersey Department of Labor and Workforce Development, the New Jersey Department of Education, the public workforce system, 4-year and 2-year colleges and philanthropic organizations. In addition, she has presented to the New Jersey State Employment and Training Commission and to the New Jersey Congressional delegation in Washington, DC.
Before joining the Newark Alliance, Ms. Luciano served as the Vice President of Integrated Services and Business Administration with MediMedia Educational Group in Chatham, New Jersey. Prior to her employment there, she was the Associate Dean and Chief Operating Officer for New Jersey Medical School-University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey in Newark, New Jersey. As the Associate Dean and COO, she provided the strategic leadership of the business operations of the school including marketing, facilities, information technology services, and administration. She is an accomplished executive with expertise in project management, operations, fiscal management and policy development.
Ms. Luciano is an alumna of the class of 2010 HERS Summer Institute at Bryn Mawr, The Summer Institute, a 35-year partnership between Bryn Mawr College and Higher Education Resource Services (HERS) is the premier residential professional development program dedicated to advancing women leaders in higher education administration.
Ms. Luciano served as a member of the presidential search committee for a new president at Caldwell College. She is the recipient of the Caldwell College Veritas Award for Excellence in Health Administration.
Ms. Luciano earned an MBA in marketing from Seton Hall University in South Orange, New Jersey and a BS in business administration, cum laude, from Caldwell College in Caldwell, New Jersey.
