HELEN WESTERVELT
CHAIR, CALDWELL COLLEGE BOARD OF TRUSTEES
Helen Westervelt, President of the Regulatory Services Division of the National Council on Compensation Insurance, was elected to the Caldwell College Board of Trustees in 2001. Having served on numerous insurance industry and other philanthropic boards, Helen is a recognized expert on workers compensation. She leads a division of more than 150 professionals who work closely with state insurance departments and legislators across the country to maintain a healthy workers compensation system.
In 2008 - 2009, Helen chaired the Caldwell College Presidential Search Committee. She made a major leadership gift to the Excellence in Action Capital Campaign.
During her tenure on the Board, Helen has fostered strong alumni relations and played a prominent role in attracting more alumni to the Board. An active member of the Alumni Board for six years, she has chaired the College Homecoming Committee and has been a major supporter of the Tricky Tray fundraiser. The Alumni Board voted to name her an Emerita Member after she served her final year.
Several members of the Westervelt family are alumni of the college and support its activities and fundraising. The Westervelt family also received the first Family Legacy Award from the Alumni Association. Helen graduated from Caldwell College in 1980 with a double major in Mathematics and English, and makes her home in Rutherford, NJ.

MARILYN BASTARDI
VICE CHAIR, CALDWELL COLLEGE BOARD OF TRUSTEES
Marilyn Bastardi is the Director of Administrative and Marketing Services for Construction Technology Corporation, where she is responsible for organizational management, contract administration, project close-out, and marketing support. Previously, she was the Owner and President of Sir Speedy Printing Center in Parsippany, NJ for seventeen years. Her administrative and management skills were recognized by yearly awards from Sir Speedy, Inc., the franchisor.
In 2001, Marilyn was awarded the Caldwell College Veritas Award for excellence in Business and Volunteerism. The Veritas Award is the highest honor the College bestows on its alumni for professional excellence.
Her volunteer efforts include serving on the Advisory Board at Birth Haven, a home for indigent, pregnant young women, and ministering as a Eucharistic Minister at Holly Manor Nursing Home in Mendham, NJ. As a member of the Caldwell College Board of Trustees, she serves on the Student Life and Building and Grounds Committees.
Marilyn, who was Vice President of the Alumni Board, was chosen as the Caldwell College Alumna of the Year in 1991. She graduated from the College with a B.A. in English and New Jersey certification in Elementary Education. She and her husband, Anthony, have supported Caldwell College for many years.
