Caldwell College will honor Sister Kathleen Tuite, O.P., Special Assistant to the President for Mission and Ministry, and the Independent College Fund of New Jersey at the 35th Annual Scholarship Gala on Friday, April 30, at Mayfair Farms in West Orange, N.J.

Sister Kathleen Tuite, O.P. will be honored for nurturing the spiritual and moral aspects of the lives of Caldwell College students and for bringing Dominican and Catholic identity to life on the campus.

The College will also honor the Independent College Fund of New Jersey for their support in helping the state’s private colleges and universities partner with the corporate community in educating students who then contribute to the economic, ethical and intellectual aspirations of the state of New Jersey.

The gala black-tie evening will begin at 6 p.m. with a cocktail hour, followed by dinner at 7 p.m. Total Soul will provide the evening’s entertainment. Tickets are $300.00 per person, a portion of which is tax-deductible. Tables and sponsorship opportunities are available. The event will include a 50/50 raffle and a live auction. Personal messages and advertisements may also be purchased in a souvenir journal to recognize the honorees.

All proceeds from the night will benefit the Caldwell College Scholarship Fund. Last year’s Gala raised $180,000 for the Fund, which enables students in need to pursue their educational and professional goals.

The reservation deadline for the Gala is April 23, 2010. The deadline for journal advertisements is April 16, 2010. For more information or to make a reservation, please contact Beth Gorab at 973-618-3204 or bgorab@caldwell.edu.
